Discovering Your Inner Fire

With the Sun, Venus and Saturn in Leo this month the emphasis is on finding an outlet for your creativity. Leo energy enables us to tap into the fool archetype, which symbolizes unrestrained and joyful expression (fire). As you allow the fool archetype to surface, you will experience more joy in your life.

Venus in Leo trine Pluto in Sagittarius, 7/7-10 helps you get in touch with and express your passion. Many people never discover what they are passionate about because a layer of anger or resentment veils their passion. Venus/Pluto helps you look deeper than the surface level of anger to discover your true passion.

Mercury retrogrades can sometimes lead to misunderstandings particularly if you are discussing sensitive or emotionally laden issues. Now that Mercury is direct (7/9, 10:58 p.m. at 7 degrees of Cancer) it’s a good time to do this kind of communication because your emotions (Cancer) and your mind (Mercury) are open to working with each other.

As the new Moon at 21º Cancer begins its cycle on 7/14 (5:04 am.), the focus is on discovering your needs for nurturing. Most of us are better at nurturing others but this month it’s about “nurturing the nurturer.” Is it hard for you to ask for help? If so, it’s time to open yourself to the nurturing that’s always around you.

With Mars in Taurus sextile Uranus in Pisces 7/19-22, you’re being asked to push the envelope a bit. Mars/Uranus energy is very good when you have to be daring or audacious in your work or home life. Let Mars and Uranus help you take risks and move beyond what you once thought was possible.

As the Sun moves into the sign of Leo on 7/22 at 10:00 p.m., it’s time to tap into your inner fire. The Leo principle relates to the expression of one’s creative energies. Our job in Leo is to tap into the creative spirit of the divine child within. Be the role model for others of someone who allows their creative energy to flow outwards into fruition.

Mars in Taurus square Neptune in Aquarius 7/23-26 speaks of aligning your will with spirit. As you surrender your sense of personal will you also surrender your sense of separation. With your personality out of the way, spirit has more room to co-create nurturing, empowering and fulfilling results.

Venus’ transit in Virgo, 7/27-8/9, (retrograde 7/27 at 2 degrees Virgo 10:26 am) gives you the opportunity to see how you’re manifesting your love energy. Are you repressing it, denying your own needs? Is your sexuality part of your spiritual path or is it separate from it?

With the full Moon at 6 ºAquarius on 7/29 at 5:48 p.m. you are learning how to be emotionally present to others while maintaining your individuality and center. The Aquarius full moon also heightens your desire to find the “tribe” or community that supports and nourishes your vision.
Mars in Taurus square Saturn in Leo 7/29-8/3 asks you to learn how to manifest strong will without attachment to the results. In other words, you are being challenged to let go of control (Saturn) of how you think things should turn out.

For Sun, Moon and Rising Signs

Aries 3/21-4/20 You are being asked to align your material goals with your spiritual nature. Success is achieved by being the “spiritual warrior.” Using your drive and ambition to serve the greater good brings personal reward as well.

Taurus 4/21-5/21 Feeling discouraged about your work? It may be that the distance between your ideal and reality is pretty vast. In general what’s probably missing is joy. Integrating more joy into your personal life will alleviate the frustration.

Gemini 5/22-6/20 You’re probably aware of things that are hidden that need to be communicated. Try not to suppress this information. Authorities will appreciate your input, particularly if the info will save their hide!

Cancer 6/21-7/20 Can’t decide if you want to be a social butterfly or crawl under the covers? If so, it’s probably because you’re feeling a little vulnerable right now. Reaching out for support from safe and nurturing friends is the key.

Leo 7/21-8/22 Your birthday is nearing and it’s time for some inner reflection. The main question is how can you work smarter and not harder this year? Allow your creative energy freedom to express and it will lead you in the right direction.

Virgo 8/23-9/22 Opportunities for sharing your knowledge in public are at hand. Groups or associations are particularly highlighted. Your mind is particularly good in holding the big picture in the midst of all the details.

Libra 9/23-10/22 This is a great month for getting out and helping others. Any form of community service will help you put a perspective on your own problems. As you help others it will open your heart and fill it with gratitude.

Scorpio 10/22-11/21 The greatest challenge this month is to avoid being overly dogmatic. Your sense of personal truth and belief is strong now but could be perceived as harsh. Skillfully delivering your beliefs without attachment is the answer.

Sagittarius 11/ 22-12/20 Itching to get going on a new campaign, something you can really believe in? I thought so! To identify the cause, just see where your energy wants to rise up and defend those that can’t defend themselves.

Capricorn 12/21-1/20 Feeling a little pinch in the budget or flow of money? What you want and what is possible may be at odds right now. Take this time to re-access what is important and how you can move realistically towards your ideal.

Aquarius 1/ 21-2/18 The full moon in Aquarius on 7/29 helps you get in touch with your need for alone time. Try to plan this into your schedule so you can rest and re-coup. Getting “away from it all” is the perfect solution for self-renewal.

Pisces 2/19-3/20 You have an opportunity to speak out about what, or what doesn’t work for you. Practicing saying “No!” is the first step. Look to see if you’re being drained by things you said you’ll do but don’t really want to!
