Tue 13: Local Author Bryn Barnard

"Outbreak: Plagues that Changed History” may be considered “juvenile non-fiction,” but contains much to consider for all of us. Did the Black Death destroy the feudal system? Did cholera pave the way for modern Manhattan? Did yellow fever help end the slave trade? Remarkably, the answer to all of these questions is yes. 7pm, free. Third Place Books, 17171 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park. 206-366-3333 or www.thirdplacebooks.com.
