Finding solid and higher ground with Mercury

By adding the universal year 2004 (2+0+0+4=6) to the seventh month of July, we come up with the vibration of 13/4. The 4 month is a time for grounding and manifesting on the physical plane. The number four is about producing tangible results in material form. With a solid plan of action you can make great strides toward manifesting your goals this month. Break your goals into monthly, weekly and daily activities. You will find that even the largest goals become doable.

JULY 1-2 — TRUST YOUR WISDOM

With Mercury in Cancer in opposition to Chiron in Capricorn, the focus is on healing the wounds we have around trusting our inherent wisdom and authority. It is time to throw off the injunctions (from past and present lives) that have prevented you from speaking the truth as you know it. This may look like letting go of the thought that you must have advanced degrees or special training to validate and prove your spiritual authority.

JULY 2 — RECONNECT WITH THE EARTH

The full moon occurs at 10 degrees Capricorn on July 2. For this next month, the emphasis is on creating emotional safety, groundedness and security. The full moon in Capricorn calls us to reconnect with the earth element in our lives. The challenge this month is to tune into your natural self-reliance.

JULY 4-25 — CREATE YOUR OWN REALITY

With Mercury in Leo, the emphasis is on using the imaginative and playful aspects of the mind to create your own reality. Try art, dance, or creative writing using your non-dominant hand, and the technique of brainstorming to further your creative efforts this month.

JULY 15-18 — SURRENDER YOUR SEPARATION

Mars in Leo is in a challenging relationship with Neptune in Aquarius. The opportunity with this transit is to see how we can express our creativity and will (Mars in Leo) in service to humanity and Spirit (Neptune in Aquarius). Mars/Neptune aspects represent a shift of understanding of the true power of surrender. In the past, surrendering our personal sense of will has been seen as a sign of weakness, submission and downright lunacy. In this millennium, however, surrender to divine will is actually an empowering experience. As we surrender our sense of personal will, we also surrender our sense of isolation and separation.

JULY 17 — NURTURE THE NURTURER

A new moon occurs at 25 degrees Cancer on July 17. The focus this month is on discovering what we need for nurturing and comfort. Most of us are better at nurturing other people than ourselves, so this month is about “nurturing the nurturer.” Spend some time by or in the water (preferably hot) this month.

JULY 22 — TAP INTO YOUR FIRE

The sun moves into the sign of Leo on July 22. Nature is at the height of the heat of summer and the fruit is ripe and ready for picking. The Leo principle relates to the ripening and expression of one’s creative energies. Our job in Leo is to tap into the beauty and fiery spirit of the divine child within.

JULY 25 — STREAMLINE YOUR LIFE

Mercury moves through the sign of Virgo from July 25 to September 28. Use this period to focus on the details of your life that have not been attended recently. Even though you may not be consciously aware of it, your energy is continually being drained by incomplete actions. For example, if you have borrowed a book from someone and you have been meaning to return it but haven’t, some of your attention and energy is being drained to track that incomplete action. Use this Mercury period to clean up any energy drains in your life. You can use the discriminative and analytic powers of Mercury in Virgo this month to get clear on the ways that you can streamline your life in the areas of health, daily routine, mind/body awareness and work/service.

JULY 30-AUGUST 2 — CONNECT WITH HIGHER MIND

With Mercury and Uranus acting synergistically, we have an unusually strong connection with higher mind. It can seem a little over-stimulating at first when the concrete mind is flooded with insight from higher mind. Have a tape recorder ready so you can “download” some of this highly intuitive or introspective information.
